Mecaplús signs new dealer for Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

MECAPLÚS S.L., Spanish manufacturer of aerial work platforms, has signed AST GmbH as its exclusive distributor for Germany, Switzerland and Austria

AST GmbH has its headquarters in Blaustein in Southern Germany, and is divided into two business areas.

The ‘AST Technology’ area specialises in the sale of special aerial platform technology. This includes mast climbing work platforms from the Canadian manufacturer FRACO and pillar cranes from the Italian company GELCO. In this section, AST GmbH not only offers the sale and lease of such products, but also project planning, service and installation customer service.

The ‘AST Work Safety’ area concentrates on engineering and services. This area is commissioned by clients to monitor construction sites, offer support in production processes and carry out further training courses for employees and management staff. AST GmbH is an IPAF training centre, and trains operators, demonstrators and instructors for elevated work platforms in accordance with the internationally recognised and certified IPAF standard. As the only training centre in Germany, we offer all prescribed courses for power saw use on elevated work platforms and combine them with the IPAF-PAL card.

The AST Technology and AST Work Safety branches unite to offer optimal solutions for all aspects of aerial platform technology. With the initiation of Mecaplus self-levelling articulated work platform, AST GmbH identifies a unique chance to link cost-effectiveness with complete safety for special activities, such as tree felling, cleaning tasks and installation work.

Alongside a special Mecaplus demonstration team with Mecaplus demonstration machines, AST GmbH will also offer training on Mecaplus work platforms in accordance with the IPAF standard.
